2019年4月19日、Genvid Technologies Japanは日本で初めてのGenvidイベントを東京の日本マイクロソフト株式会社オフィスにて開催し、イベント冒頭でMicrosoft Azure対応することを発表しました。
大手パブリッシャー・開発会社やインディー開発者、通信事業者、TV局などから160名余りの方に登録いただきました。
講演会ではまずスクウェア・エニックスの元社長、和田洋一氏が業界の歴史を紐解き、今後の予想や何をすべきか等についてセッション。その後GenvidのCEO Jacob NavokがGenvidのヴィジョンについて話し、Genvidユーザーが開発した最新のコンテンツを披露しました。その中で紹介されたコンテンツの一つであるSpace Sweeperを開発した中嶋謙互氏が後を引き継ぎ、開発秘話を語りました。講演後の懇親会では参加者は料理に舌鼓を打ちつつ、展示されたデモに実際に触れながら新しいアイデアについてディスカッションを楽しみました。
Genvid Technologies Japanでは今後もこのようなイベントを随時開催していきます。
Genvid Technologies Japan held its first event in Japan at the Microsoft office in Tokyo on April 19, 2019. At the beginning of the event, we announced our plan to support Microsoft Azure this year.
160 people registered for the event; from large game publishers and developers to indie developers, alongside telecom carriers, TV broadcasters, and more.
The former CEO of Square Enix, Yoichi Wada, gave a talk about how the industry is changing and what to expect. Genvid CEO Jacob Navok talked about the vision of Genvid and showed off the latest content developed by Genvid SDK users, such as Space Sweeper. The developer of Space Sweeper and former President of Community Engine, Kengo Nakajima, made an appearance and explained how he used the Genvid SDK. At the post-session mixer, attendees discussed new ideas while tapping on screens to try live demos while enjoying food and drinks.
Genvid Technologies Japan will have more events coming in Tokyo!
